There have been serious safety issues with the DSG in Audi and VW (faulty temp gage and occasional shift to neutral while you are on the freeway!). The subsequent recall should have taken care of that in the future, but who knows. I would honestly rather see a Porsche PDK transmission or the BMW version in the STi. That would be heaven if only Fuji could afford the R&D on it which I don't think is possible for now even with Toyota backing in the Toyobaru. You are right about the Evo; needs time.

From what I have heard, the Evo X's TC-SST transmission is crap. It's slow, jerky and dim-witted at low city speeds. However, if this is an WV DSG, then it will be incredible. My friend's new Golf GTI has a DSG and it shifts like a dream. I honestly would love an STI with a DSG in it. I have an S2000, and honestly, the manual is great and all, but not good for LA driving, especially on the damn I-405. Would love a good auto in something as nice as an STi.

I am a huge subaru enthusiest I own a older subaru. Not happy with this a-line. To be honest a lot of car companys are struggeling. It isn't just fuji. What car company isn't getting help from other car company's. Look at american cars like GM using honda and toyota.

unfortunately, i don't think the auto in the STI A-line is a twin-clutch system like the DSG. it would be great if they could put the system from the EVO X or the gt-r in the STI. the sad truth is that FUJI can't afford the R&D so they have to partner up with someone else to get up to speed on high-tech transmissions.

its the same DSG as i have in my vw golf, so i can only imagine how fucking awsome it will be in an STI, so i recon he is saying auto is good ya.
