Saving resources, energy consumption & CO2 emission & creating jobs - The Bouwcarrousel experiences

Bouwcarrousel is a Dutch but internationally working deconstruction company in the building sector. In this short movie we show the deconstruction-project that we do in Apeldoorn (the Netherlands) for "Our House" - a non profit housing organisation which owns & lets 5500 houses and apartments. We deconstruct thousands of doors, doorframes, sanitary materials (like toilets, sinks, taps, showers) as well as kitchens, gas heaters and radiators and electrical components out of 660 apartments. We create jobs in this approach (in comparison to the "regular" approach of demolition in which products are destroyed) and we create the possibility to build new houses for less money, for instance in low income countries - but also holiday homes.
