I wish they'd have made one more album with Gary, just to see how much was Ed being out of it during recording of VH III. I like Gary's stuff more and more over the years. Definately gave them a fresher sound after all those years with Sam. I prefer the Dave era, and Sam was fine, but he got a little monotonous after a while. Gary was definately a move in a new direction and I think given aother record might've changed everyone's mind after the less than stellar III album. I loved "Once".

Altough I didn't liked the Album with Cherone I have to admit that he does a good job here,respect.But Eddie,the intro alone left me speechless and I am stil trying to pick up my jaw from the floor!!!

Eddie's playing is INCREDIBLE HERE.... wow the zone! The band actually sounded fresh here - really wish they would have gone another LP w/ Gary to see what else could come out. Great performance!!!

People that say Gary was no good or didnt fit only said it cuz the critics were saying it and many others were saying it. Gary sounded good on everything he did just like he did with Extreme. He was doing what he always did which was rock with a lot of passion. He never "tried to hard" or any of that crap. VH III had some of the coolest songs on there but was never given a chance cuz it was shot down bfore it even was able to take flight. When u compare, thats what u get. When u take it just fo

@lifesonfan definitely agree! Saw them at the Gorge and to hear lots of stuff from the DLR era Sammy would never have done as well as the great songs from the Sammy era was awesome.....

I would have traded some years of my life to see Eddie playing with Gary for more time. This had the potential to be epic.

One of the best things about this tour was the setlist. They got back to DLR material..
