THESIS FILM -- First Rough Cut

**WMG removed my original song for this ("Everywhere" by Michelle Branch) which I find highly ironic considering both my producer and my UPM spent months last summer trying to get someone at WMG to pick up the damn phone so we could request the rights to use this song. Oh but now all of a sudden they're gonna crawl outta the woodwork and come after me on YouTube?? Unbelievable. If they had just picked up the damn phone a year ago we wouldn't be having this problem now, would we? Pfft...

ANYWAYS, I did an AudioSwap because I want to keep this cut online. The music I chose is closer to what the final product will be anyway. You can still view the original version with the Michelle Branch song here: http://www.vimeo.com/2502896 **

OKAY. Here's my first attempt at making some sense out of this thing, LOL. This is BY NO MEANS a final product, and I am not satisfied with it at this point. I was even contemplating not posting this at all, but what the hell...

Please remember I still have one scene yet to shoot, so I replaced it with storyboards for the time being. So this version will continue to be tweaked. But the project as a whole will evolve as I experiment with different songs and expand the story and whatnot. So stay tuned!

OK, this is just weird. I'm watching this and VH1 at the same time (I have two brains, what can I say?) and there's this Taylor Swift video that is a costume piece too - also with a "modern" beginning and end. But I'd say our vid is better :D Ours have a clear story, our costumes are of a clear period (well, we tried) while this one is like vaguely period but I'm not sure which period... Anyway, what I'm trying to say it, don't be too hard on yourself, Katie, this looks great!
