For one of my teaching classes (I'm studying to be a music teacher) we have to teach a lesson and do a plan for it, and I'm doing mine on game music. The part of the lesson I'm teaching to the class is on music from Revelation and how music is used to describe the settings of the worlds. Jack Wall is just so incredible at it and the Spire music impressed me so much I had to do a lesson on it :)

Pretty good. It's too bad you didn't play the song that you first hear when you arrive in this age (Sirrus's theme song being blown from the crystals). THAT's the music I think of when I think of Spire. It has a really beautiful, lonely, melancholy sound to it that really sets the tone for the entire age.

I loved it because it was so surreal...Sirrius was also so inventive. I don't quite understand how Atrus thought such a environment of no animals, no people, little visible light, and precipitous drops would temper his son but it's not far off from what most prisons do.

@rockoon00000 Exactly my thoughts. From the most incredibly hostile environments he was able to construct flying ships and power and ultimately escape.

Spire is my favorite age out of all the Myst games. The devices that Sirrus made are incredible, and it still astounds me that he was able to create all of it from nothing. Great music; it's the music that comes to mind whenever I think of Spire.
