This is the fourth and probably final modification to the Subatomic Paraball. I say final mainly because I ran out of red rods during construction. This train layout features over 40 feet of track and was constructed 7 feet in the air, right over the track for the subatomic paraball, separated by 1 to 4 vertical feet. The track is supported by the original Subatomic Paraball structure, tape, nails, and over 2,000 K'nex pieces. The 6 car train and it's track consist of an additional 2,000 pieces. The track is held in place by 50 white K'nex rods. The video features 2 POV shots with the camera mounted on a special car, one looking forward and one off to the side.

Statistics:
Build time - 4 days
Height - 7 ft
Length - 40 ft
Number of supporting towers - 5
Number of bridges - 2
Number of paths - 1
Number of pieces - about 4000 (K'nex and Legos)
Number of cars - 6 (2 engines)
Number of power units - 2

  • how did u build the train?

did u get a set…or did you make it by yourself?

  • @SPazMAtiCtacos The train is from an old set I had as a kid. The supporting structure is my own design.

  • What camera do you use for the POVs?

  • @legendariers I used the same camera I used to film the video, actually. An old AIPTEK IS-DV from 2005. Not particularly small, and very poor picture quality, but very lightweight. I no longer use this camera for any of my videos.

  • the redneck desighn would be half the knex and some ducktape

  • Mixing LEGO and KNEX thats surely like messing with the Devil or something!

  • did you super glue all the kinex so it would not fall

  • @SPazMAtiCtacos Santa fe superchief.

  • how you can leave it up to ^ ^ I also ride a train is on the ground how do you do that? If I run a 9v train as late as he top row he drops down it's funny that you let him ride up when he falls he breaks it seems that he is kneks gebauwd. is difficult to bridge? The Lego of today is not comparable to that train Maybe you can make with wood vogende times it is not gemmakkelijk as shown and 2 or 3 years worked ???????

    ???????

  • take one piece out

    THE WHOLE THING COLLAPSES!

    make a destruction video
