  • what a genius viv was.... funny that him and haynes ran off the ground without shaking hands with the aussies.... when an aussie team did that to india at the scg, the poor lil indians threw their toys outta the pram... ;)

  • At 1:34, poor duckling

  • That's some aggressive booing.

  • Viv never wore 1 of those pussy helmets..even after all da bitches started 2.

All hail the Master Blaster !!

  • What i love about cricket, bewing out for a duck, like on 1:34

  • Oh look at the strike rate of 150, (60 off 40 balls) and that too in the age of slow cricket when most of the players had S/R in 50s or 60s.

Really, King Richards was a person before his time...!!!

  • macdermott was bowling superbly after a long time in that wsc. where was he in the finals????

  • See that six of O Donnel at 4:00. Pause at 4:05 and you will notice the ball has left the bowler's hand and Viv hasn't moved at all. After that he moves and hits it over cover. Anyone else would have made a predetermined move to play this shot. Only the king can decide that late to hit it over cover for six. In current players, see Jayawardane who lives on this shot moves a lot early to play this. The KING !!!

  • Was going to say that the Duckworth/Lewis system might have made things a bit more interesting. Yet Viv would have done that score too.

  • Still remember this game. I was a kid and pretty devastated that West Indies got such a hollow win when Australia were the better one day team. But it was this match that started the ball rolling on changing rain shortened matches.
