This is just a test shot I did to try out a special effects shot in Adobe Affter Effect. It sort of works although you can just about see one of the joins. But then it was done in just half an hour without any real attention to detail. Just a play around really. Anyway hope you like it.
your idea is a lot more advanced to what I can do. I've never used Adobe Aftereffects to a full extent to do this. I've always used Final Cut Pro, and the only way I could possibly do this, is split screen it.

@Marillionmad Hello there. Believe it or not, it was really quite easy! If you have AF then you'll be able to do it. Just tripod mount the camera, point it are various positions and video yourself. Then in AF line up all the clips side by side matching the edges, then link all the clips to the first clip so that all move together, then move the first clip to pan across all the clips, key framing at various points, ease in/out at the keyframe and render! t'dah! Hope that helps. 1/2 hour tops!
