Add vegetables like onions, bell pepper, and celery to this mixture. Sauté for a few minutes. Then, add the sausage and cook till it turns brown. Add garlic, thyme, pepper, salt, tomatoes, and lastly, okra. Stir and then add the stock to the gumbo recipe. Cook the mixture for 30 minutes in the covered Dutch oven. Then, add shrimp and cook for a few minutes. Add crabmeat and green onions and let the mixture cook for some time.

  • This is not why gumbo is famous. This dish would be forgotten the same day it was made. Check out Poppy's gumbo if you want to see why gumbo became famous. And you can put tomatoes in gumbo, just not like this. Stewed or peeled work well. Roux should always be at least the color of a penny if not darker. No such thig as 'instant gumbo'...fail.

  • @icdemfromafar OK!!!! That shit looks & probably tastes like G. A. R. B. A. G. E!
