  • Good choice.

    A couple of things:

It's readily available from good US webstores (knifeworks, knifecentre, amazon, eBay etc).

It's made in Japan, Fällkniven might be located in lovely Boden but they have always outsourced production.

The Swedish army does not have a proper survival knife, most of us use Mora 2000s. The F1 is the official pilot survival knife of the air force, AFAIK they are the only ones issued them.

  • @903lew thanks so much for the info!! its good to learn from eachother! stay tuned!

  • @SgtDrDeath

We use them but apart from the F1 I have yet to see one issued. What we use and what FMV thinks we should have are as always very different things. I'm surpriced the PRK is on your list though, seems like the silliest thing ever to come out of Norrbotten.

  • @903lew - The Swedish armed forces have several of Fällkniven knifes in use/stock (F1, S1, A1, PRK and MC1).

I had a F1 during my service and it is a very versatile knife and I still use it after 15 years.

  • great review, nice sheath!
