Ed Asner says the actions of the L. A. City Council "sounds almost criminal" referring to their diverting millions of Cable Franchise Fees to the general fund rather than supporting the public access cable channels. The fees are coming from cable subscribers who are charged monthly for the public channels that have now been shut down by Time Warner Cable.

we never had a right to the same things of the privaliged classes. People with non conventional idealogies, philosophys politics, religion, art, and points of veiw) Have been deliberately excluded from participating, and expressing there veiws. Case and point, public access t.v. insures the checks, and balences of government to the common people! the revolution begins! No more leftist, or rightist McCarthyisium!
