this is the true cost of playing on WoW private servers

@zohanalexix I had donor account and i could see the donor section. Many players there admited to had spend over 2k $, i mean only one person. And there were like 10s of thousand of donors. Make yourself the count.

@zohanalexix Acutally this is true, over the years from original wow till mid wotlk the server took in 3,000,000 dollars remember donor sets were about 200-300 a set and imagine people who had 8 toons full donor gear and such. I use to GM there and the que for the donor sets a lone where like 21 people in1 hr wanting like a donor set for at least 200 bucks and thats in 1 hr or so of course this is at peak it wasn't always that high but take in consideration legion/crack that did normal donation

man, i feel sorry for her, even though I play on retail and I agree private servers are an abomination and a huge problem to all games, not just Blizzard, but Blizzard suffers more from it, probably one day collapsing Blizzard. I think Blizzard's right to sue her for that, they're just trying to save the game, and there company. I don't think it's a good thing to go on private servers, but on the other hand, some people got addicted and wants to sue blizard, Private servers can take the fall .

There is no way paytone could have gathered 3.000.000$ from donations, I mean, I know wowscape had lots of donors, but just think about it, it had 40.000 active accounts, but lots of people had multiple accounts (some had even 10), it is asumed the avarage of donations was 200$, I was in a very populated guild and nearly none of the members were donators, means some people on the server had to donate like 3000$ to make an avarage of 200... I Really don't think this story is true.

@zohanalexix The story is true. Blizzard sued Peyton for illegal profits. He made a lot of money...I don't know if 3 million is the exact number, but it was over 1 million for sure. Those money were not made only from gear donations, but from other sources to. We can deny the numbers but we can't deny that Blizzard sued her for a reason and asked her with 88 millions. (it is all over the media)The numbers might be wrong, who knows?
