Dawn of Sorrow: Death Battle Hard Mode

I was bored, so here's another Castlevania battle. I give special thanks to grendelson(?) for his video many months back, showing me this fight. Indeed, the hardest boss in the game: in Hard Mode, no boss gave me a Game Over more than 3 times but Death. Not even tough bosses like Abaddon or Aguni. This was my 4th attempt at him. His attacks were so fast and deadly.

Sorry, I dont do "cheap"...I meant "cheat". And considering Valmanway is supposedly the successor to one infamous weapon called the Crissagrim...

Uh...thanks, I think. My MP regeneration rate is thanks to the Chaos Ring, while my Primary Boss Fighting Weapon is the Claim Solais. Everything achieved through hard effort; no cheating whatsoever.

If I had ever thought to just transform into a bat when Death shot the skulls, it would've made this fight a LOT easier for me...

I tried jumping. It was difficult. And in Hard Mode, this attack does insane damage, like 200+ each skull. And its comboable, since the skull's speed is increased as well. Meaning, if you do get hit, it's would do about 400-600 damage. I've died a few times cause of this.

Only thing that could be better-Erinys soul instead of Great Axe Armor

Nice gameplay. I don't know bout you guys. But do you prefer the Succubus soul as a Bullet soul in Dawn of Sorrow, or it was better off when it was an Enchant soul back in Aria of Sorrow where you can have +5 life pts. steal per hit? (Works wicked sick with Valmanway.) And I also miss the Killer Mantle soul to kill the Iron Golems with 1 shot.

Anyway, as I said before. I don't care what you use. You can use either or none it doesn't matter. It was just your comment that I was responding to before.

Also, if you want to see how "game breaking" the Chaos Ring can be just look at Aftermath's boss rush 1:17.95 vid on YT. Skill has something to do with it, but so did the chaos ring.

I think you're missing the point abit. What I meant before was that your argument sounds very contradictory. You said you don't do "cheat/cheap" by not wanting to use Valmanway, but the chaos ring is far more powerful/overpowered than the valmanway. So that's contradicting yourself abit.

Whether or not the chaos ring is gamebreaking is open to argument. Personally I think it is abit. There are alot of abilities you can abuse when you have super fast mp regen.

You mean, aside from the fact that this was on Hard Mode, I actually struggled to get all Souls, I never crafted any weapons until I got at least another copy of the required soul and I didnt get any of the end-game weapons until this playthrough and that all of this was done legitimately?

I wouldnt really think of the Chaos Ring being a gamebreaker anyway; Shanoa anyone?

But saying that you don't do "cheat" but then use the chaos ring anyway makes your argument sound very pathetic.

Valmanway in this game is not even considered a cheap/cheat weapon anyway. It's been nerfed so much that the reason why people don't use it is not because of not wanting to cheat/cheap but because it just plain sucks.

with the persephone you can do extra damage while hitting with valmanway

it also gather the sickles

erinys is faster to cast as well

but nice one indeed

that's one thing i love about castlevania, there are way too many tactics to chose from

its better if you use medusa head agains his skulls,you can attack him while in the air

Then again, Chaos Ring is a lot harder to get.....
