what type of fuel is in it?

The propellant is APCP, Ammonium Perchlorate Composite Propellant. Technically speaking the "fuel" is probably a mixture of rubber and aluminum, while the oxidizer is ammonium perchlorate. I bought it in this case -- when certifying you aren't allowed to use a homemade motor or propellant, it has to be certified. Basically all certified HPR motors today are solid (APCP-based, to my knowledge) or hybrid (some mixture of phases, most commonly solid fuel and liquid or gas oxidizer).
