Thank you, cruiser and Hunter. I love OU, have several family members who are alums. We have just had a few glitches that have made this a challenging beginning, but I'm confident that it will all work out for the best! Go Bobcats! :)
Moved in on Thursday, around 4:30. Barely saw a soul...had to ask two young men in a maintenance van how to get to Boyd Hall. Thankfully, my daughter's roommate was already there and she told us where to park, etc. Even the young men checking students in at Boyd seemed more perturbed that we had interrupted their conversation, than interested in welcoming freshman.
Okay so I made it on this video both right at the beginning and the end. =) @ embur102. I so would have helped you move in if I had seen that you were getting no help!
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, all freshman were supposed to move in on Thursday and there were tons of student volunteers, (they met us at the car!) signs, police, and friendly faces that day, our second son is now there and we couldn't be happier with the school!
Wow, we must have moved in on the wrong day.....never saw one sign, police officer or student volunteer. No directions, no "welcome", no assistance whatsoever. Very unsettling for a nervous freshman! Expected more from Ohio University. :(
