This is the famous 'think small' campaign! Doyle Dane & Bernbach did a good job here!

From the DVD 'Legend on wheels'. Wanna have this DVD packed with 2 hours of high quality digitally remastered old vw commercials? The DVD really brings you back to the '60s and '70s. Send an email to: beetlejuice150@hotmail.com

  • Agree, the print ads were much more clear and effective.

  • If the paper ads weren't so succesful, people wouldn't even understand this commercial, I think.

  • cool animation .. nice game .. keep it up

  • bl mini.....

  • i believe the whole ad campaign is praised today, not any specific ad.

  • "Think small" Shirt!! 332335.spreadshirt.es/think-small-A13022734

  • It is a fantastic campaign. If you look at all the print ads it makes it far more clear. It's success is only proof of why it is rated so highly.

  • i dont think the message was to clear.

  • Well, in 1973 (oil crisis) it was wise to have a small car. In the UShowever, cars were everything but small. Detroit couldn't deliver small cars. Volkswagen could.

The Think Small campaign with almost empty advertisement papers added to that.

  • its because, people say oh here is the smallest car in the world. Like taking credit for the idea of the smallest car, when actually for 20 years they have been making small cars... it still is a pretty shit ad though haha
