Phuket Childrens Womens Penitentiary Orphanage

Today was the day i got to visit the childrens orphanage attached to the womens prison in Phuket.
Some children have mothers who are currently in the jail next door, they spend their days here in the the day care centre, and then nights in the jail sleeping with their mother in some disgusting conditions.
Some children have no parents, and are only offered shelter between the hours of 9 to 5:50pm, we were to afraid to ask what happens outside of hours, but most likely, they are put out on the street.
Ages of the children ranged from 2 years onld up to 9 years old.
There are over 60 children and 3 volunteers.
They rely 100% on donations, and are not funded by the jail or government.
For just under $400 we donated over a weeks worth of food, balls, cleaning products, new tshirts, shampoo, baby formula and nappys.
