Who wants to place a bet that 2012 will not be the end of the world ?
It might be the end of a lot of other things (namely our freedom) but i certainly do not believe the world will come to an end in 2012.
For centuries man has been predicting the end of the world corresponding with certain dates.

Doomsayers have predicted the end of the world fo rmany years, here is a list of dates various christian organisations have claimed the world will end on. (not included any more recent ones as they are fairly well known)
