Malmsteen is a great inspiration, and composer and everything, i think he's done a lot, and i respect him, but Becker wrote an album note by note, each instrument, just with his eyes, nothing can beat that, sorry.

@Kenjifly and jason becker was 17 when he wrote the whole fucking perpetual burn album and not only is he a shredder, but he's also a magnificent composer that still does it after being paralyzed, unlike malmsteen that is the same fucking shredding pattern he always uses except he just switches it a bit on some of the melodies... so sir, your point has been invalidated...btw jason becker perpetually burns every guitarist out there...Period.

Both are two guitar virtuosos, but I think Becker is more creative in his compositions and is also an example of life.

I prefer the legendary Jason Becker!!

The real question is if the guy who uploaded the video was asking who's better at playing Black Star or just using it as a comparision for asking who's the better guitarist. In case it's the first, obviously Malmsteen cause he plays it like for a concert, nobody would go to a Malmsteen concert to see him playing it in a shitty/funny way. In case it's the second, well obviously Jason, he is a much more creative musician/composer, Yngwie stayed with his style in almost all his career.
