@telelvr I was there on Sunday, January 9. I am planning on coming sometime soon to do this again WITH a tripod this time. As you can see, I had plenty of success. I traveled along the Fox River the day before on IL-25 and IL-31 to look for bald eagles, but I saw no more than one.

Great video, tripod or not! Is this taken around your post date, early January 2011 and what time of day was it? We're going to bald eagle watch at Starved Rock again this year and are hoping to see more than we saw last year. We took a side trip to Davenport, IA and saw quite af ew there though. Looks like you had good luck at Starved Rock. Thanks for posting!
