Howard Dean may indeed be the best the Democrats have to offer and it is best that he is outside of government in order to speak his mind, yet he should not have been elected fro Secretary of Education since part of the problem is large federal bureaucracies to begin with not the least of which indeed IS the Dept of Education, an unconstitutional and bloated entity and which yes the Republicans hypocritically condemned then expanded in the Reagan Administration.

Nonsense. This bill is so watered down that it presents as much a foundation for positive future reform as no bill at all. It's a bill that at this point only worsens the problems we currently have with our shit system. Without any sort of equalizer like a public option or medicare buy-in, its nothing more than a step in the wrong direction.

As dissapointed as we may be with Obama. You have to admit it's not all his fault. You're forgetting the other liberal wuss, Harry Reid! Hell If I was Senate Majority Leader I would say to Joe Lieberman, vote I on cloture for a health care bill that includes a public option or I'm stripping you of your Homeland security committee chairmanship."
