Doesn't the electron transport chain release 32-34 ATP in an ideal environment, and 2 ATP in the Citric Acid Cycle because there are 2 pyruvates?

Thank you! this actually made sense and I get it now.

Regarding the Krebs Cycle, doesn't the cycle go around twice which makes the final product 2 ATP, 6 NADH, 2 FADH2 and what about the H+? Would you also add to the final product 6H+?

This helped a lot! I have a final tomorrow and was really worried about this, so thanks a whole bunch!

@g0ld3n88 38 ATP...i believe , 36 is the net gain....from the gradient....in the mitochrondial inner membrane matrix , and then ATP synthase

awesome explanation! thanks for your effort. is there a way to watch the whole presentation, including the ETC? and i also read about it only releasing 32 to 34 ATP in the ETC, what is different in your model? thank you very much
