Obama calls for civility in health care debate

Trying to put new energy behind his health care plan, President Barack Obama on Tuesday took direct aim at the health insurance industry, promising Americans that 'meddling' bureaucrats should not be determining anyone's care. (Aug. 11)

When i can keep my Doctor ,my plan ,all i have so far in health insurance and be happy with it,WHY do i need "HIS" reform then?? WHY is the Student Education Loan Program attached to the HEALTH CARE BILL ?? WHY will the IRS have Power to Control me on a monthly basis if i have any Health insurance and punish me with $2500 when i do not ?? Its is so NOT about Healthcare ,its all about gaining more power ,goverment control and redistrubute of wealth.

The very fact that you think of people arguing as an 'attack' shows that you consider any ideas outside of your own reality as a threat. Hate to shatter your world but America has had its golden age. It's over, America will not remain a superpower for long. No other countries don't always know more but on some areas youll have to accept they do. @Fangornmmc Hate to shatter your world, but most attacks are from other countries towards America. They, for some reason, think they know more than we do. On the topic of Health Care Rankings, USA is 37th, Brazil is 125th. Nearly all of the African Countries are in the bottom of that list. I did not call out any conspiracy theories, nor did i mention any at all. Also, stop listening to Eminem, he's washed up.

@born2bfunny21 Why is it so hard for (most) Americans to listen to foreigners. No offense, Americans are often nice and generous people but when it comes to debates they are utterly, utterly stubborn. Don't say I cant know, I do now I experience it every moment I get to post a comment. There is nearly always a conspiracy theory involved too and most of the time the government is to blame. There is health care in some countries in Africa and emilio is right, search for the Health Care Ranking.

It was many decades ago when a person could operate a motor vehicle without insurance. That changed because driving is a privilege .Medical treatment is given to all because it is not .Who pays and who doesn't ?Those who purchase out of pocket for health premiums pay more due the extra treatment cost caused by the uninsured.Your taxes and rent are also higher due to higher premiums for the public sector. One way or the other ,we all get stuck with it. Obama care , private care, or don't care .

i got one for the conservatives (myself being a republican and not pro free health care)..........the constitution does not guarentee free public school education..no it doesnt....so why do i a tax payer with no children HAVE to pay for your child's education? personally i dont care for your childs education and Im just throwing my money away. most people would call my remake mean, yet we can say the same thing about a sick person who cant afford help? hmm i smell somthin funny
