In summer 2008 I was a part of the Texas Baptist All State Master's Singers. I made a video to accompany one of the songs we sang called "For the Sake of Our Children" by Jeffery L. Ames. The video is pictures of children from all around the world. Enjoy.

  • This song is very beautiful, and I love the video that you put with the song. The only problem that I have ;x is that there isn't enough diction, fullness and crescendo in certain parts. Our director had been "yelling" at us over these past 2 1/2 months over stuff like that before our concert last night ._. lol Again, very beautiful song :) I love it when the viola and percussion accompany this song instead of just the piano because it makes it all the better, more gorgeous.

  • We sang this song this year in Choir. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • Ah... this song is so beautiful. And I love the viola part. It makes the song.

  • @kidnflorida You are absolutely correct. The original version calls for a viola. But like I said before, I thought the violin was haunting. Your critique came off catty against the player not the instrumentation choice. I wasn't involved with this group at all, this is just some random musician commenting on a beautiful choir and violin player.

  • @NessCraig Which also, in a way, furthers my point by saying they should have had a viola. The sound would have been much more warm or dark. The choir is great, you guys are wonderful.

  • @NessCraig At Florida All State, with Dr. Armstrong, we had a viola player. As the original arrangement calls for. I saw him with my own eyes lol.

  • @kidnflorida I think this is a wonderful recording! I also thing the "viola" player is wonderfully haunting. However, check your ears - this is a violinist. Nice try.
