Mourning Dove nest on corner of house

Apparently a little mourning dove family got started this spring outside the northwest corner of our house, unbeknownst to me until this afternoon when I heard a noise behind me while I was sitting on the front steps taking in some sun & reading the paper. I thought it was a squirrel, then saw what looked like two birds nuzzling each other. One of them was much larger than the other and flew off right over my head....that's when I realized what was going on. :-)

Mourning Doves are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and I think their nests are good luck anyway......they used to create one every year on the porch outside the apartment I was living in prior to getting married.
