Dick Smith, a bail-bondsman from Bakersfield, bought an s/c 427 in 1966 and went racing. He is known for being the winningest 427 cobra driver. His Cobra, CSX3035 weighed just 2200# stock. His car number was 198 because in vintage racing at Daytona in the 80s, he was clocked at 198mph. Hie cobra is still considered the most stock S/C in existence today. Believe it. Rest in Peace Dick, you'll be missed.

cobra is like 2,400lbs and corvette maybe 3100? i think, now look, cobra is going to wreck it in the first 0-100mph and then the corvette flys past because of aerodynamics, and I may be wrong but i don't want to be doing 200mph in a convertible, haha but thats just me...

Not a shelby. Possibly a factory five or superperformance replica. Modern powerplant and drive line, modern suspension, modern tires, less weight than even the original.
