@hiccupoflife I agree! It talked about WHY these wars start, not the wars themselves. Also, it had a very much needed and significant message about what greed and destroying the environment does in the end. It had great actors and a wondeful uniqueness to it in the story to boot. I was and still am extremely ticked that 'Avatar' didn't win best picture. I hope one or both of the sequels win that award.

I can't help but think that Avatar wasn't actually a 'good' film. The writing sucked, the acting was lame, and it is derivative. It had awesome special effects and all, but it wasn't best picture material.
I loved it though.
Inglorious Bastards should have won.

If Americans are warmongers, then Avatar is anti-american! I loved it, because it stood against western imperialism and THATS WHY it is the highest grossing film ever. Fuck the oscars they are just a studio-tool to sell dvds. Talking realistic films are you, then Milk should have won. Not hurtlocker, a stupid redneck take on the much overdone hero's journey.

FUCK THE OSCARS, ITS JUST A CUNNING MOVIE-STUDIO TOOL TO GET PEOPLE IN THE THEATRES AND SELL DVDs. AVATAR WAS AN AWSOME MOVIE!!! KICKED ALL THE SKY DADDY LOVING NATURE HATERS RIGHT IN THE FACE!
