Excellent word totally true .Rom 12: 1,2 is change new birth is Lordship. . But Macarthur does not say what you say, John says, Christ is Lord if you behave and prove it and repent beforehand John begins Jesus is Lord then makes it subjective dependent on man to make Christ Lord.He does not believe there are no carnal Christions.

If Jesus isn't your Lord, Then Satan is. The basic tenant of Satanism is "do what thou will"or in other words, "Do what you want". I grew up in a church where this was the status quo for many of the members from Monday to Saturday and that church was mostly dead.

To be quite honest, I don't see why all the controversy. The fruit will tell what kind of tree is planted. Life is evidenced by growth. Therefore, if one claims to have been grafted into Christ (as a branch is grafted into a tree thus submitting to the tree's life), submission to the Lordship of Christ is normal. It does not mean that one will be sinless and sometimes display rebellion toward Christ but the overarching attitude would be one of increasing submission to Christ daily.

If Calvin's unconditional election was combined with Arminian universal atonement, there would be no Scriptural contradiction to argue about and everybody would be saved. The thing you Christians are really worried about is not how to save people, but about whether you can damn them by predestiation or by their free will.

When Paul wrote, in Romans 10:9 that if you confess Christ as Lord and believe in your heart He was ressurected from the dead, you will be saved; was becuase, during that time, to call anyone outside of ceaser "lord" was openly call yourself a threat towards the government, aka Terrorist. The only way to really know now who really revongizes Christ as Lord is with a gun to a persons head.

When I hear people argue over LS salvation,I think they talk past each other sometimes.Since salvation is a supernatural act of God,He also supernaturally leads us into repentance,some faster than others,but we all repent more and more as we live our lives.I just can't imagine all the martyrs who gave their lives,in such terrible ways, just because they didn't deny Jesus as their Lord.Would that be considered Lord Ship salvation?

To hear someone SAY he can make Jesus Lord and Saviour, at one time seemed reasonable,but now it sounds so arrogant.I remember thinking,'I 've made a lot of bad decisions in my life,but praise God I did make one good one''.Now when I think back on that,I cringe at the thought of such a thought.

@diligentile AMEN... these carnal Christians preaching against so-called Lordship Salvation need to be taught who, what, and why Jesus is Lord already no matter what doctrine they want to eschew over the whole counsel of God. Jesus is Lord... if he isn't your Lord... than you can't be saved.
