the perfect time period for indepedence is during the cultural revolution when china was in complete chaos and the whole population of china was mad at the communist party. if the tibetans could not even achieved their independence during those chaotic 10 years, what chances do they think they have during a period of prosperity and stability?

what a total nonsense! None of you ever seen the documentary movie about Tibet? Here are some pictures, which can each talk about what's the problem picture and paste someone's say-he did it? Have You seen documentary 'Leaving Fear Behind' ?Tibetans tell what horrors are experiencing with China, as they are treated. What with Dhondup Wangchen? He was captured by Chinese authorities for a shot with this film, in order to show the truth! Go, China to hell!

The truth is China cannot be allowed to succeed. If China succeed in bringing masses out of poverty. Then this would be a complete challenge to the capitalist model of governing countries. The fortune 500 companies who owns all media in Western society is waging war on China for this ideological reason.
Just money and business wanting a bigger and bigger slice of the world.

It does not have manythings to do the religon, as a spiritual leader, don't you want what is the best for you ppl? but he was there >99% of the ppl were not educated...the only thing he wanted is to let all the ppl worship him, that's is, what ever he says is the rule, whatever he does is correct! there is no human rights!!!! He was God there, can do anything he want! Now...ppl life is much better!!!!

the point is why now??? just bf the olympic??? why 1950 just after China was established???? Why the western media is editing the true pictures, not showing the violent part of riot? why??? we must agree, western world don't China for a long time~! back to hundred yrs ago with all the invasion, and now...one thing i can say for sure, when China split to pieces, the world then will bcm quiet!

My only intension was to say: there are always things that we don't know about...there is always otherside of the story...I did hv Qs about CN history too and what really happened there, I just try not to believe what any media says on TV, they are all twisted by political powers...Regarding Tibet, there are diff source of books about it, they had some really dark time, when slaves were bably tortured by higher levels, when new China estabolished, this was meant to be eliminated!~period!
