The vile and impolite language used in criticising her is proof enough that her critics are not able to answer her points convincingly. Calling her a bitch is easy and one can give an equally insulting retort to the person concerned, but it is more difficult to counter her views about what is rotten in the present state of Capitalism.

of course, she makes mistakes, deliberate or not is not so important, what's important is the points she makes and these are valid points few ppl talk about.trickle down doesn't work, capitalism tends to result in wealth concentration at the top, democracy is impossible without just distribution of wealth, unchecked capitalism leads to slavery, ecological disasters, and ultimately to its own collapse.

You have to hand it to Arundhati. She is an extremely fearless, erudite, and painstakingly candid activist. Has a sense humour to boot.

True peace is not merely absence of tensions: it's the presence of justice.

This isn't accurate. The US maintains economic supremacy by housing businesses that gather and manage the most wealth. Every citizen is an investor even if they don't want to be simply because the US retirement system is privatized, so US corps and governments are well capitalized. The US military is largely in the service of other nations, and this (dwindling) capacity is why India, and many other countries have allied themselves with the US and allowed bases to be built.
