It's Reuse it Friday here at the Recycling Center. Today's video with Liz Swafford and Recycling Ben shows you how to make a reuseable shopping bag from an old T-shirt. It's really easy and doesn't require any sewing. #ReuseItFriday
You need a pair of good scissors and a t-shirt.
Step 1: Make the top opening of the bag - cut off the sleeves and collar.
Step 2: Cut the strips on the bottom for the fringe
Step 3: Tie Double Knots all across the bottom.
Step 4 .... go shopping!
Don't forget to recycle your plastic shopping bags at a local store. Do a search on Earth 911 to find a recycling area near you. (http://www.earth911.com)
Local recycling information is available from the Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority's recycling center, 706-278-5001, http://www.dwswa.org
Thanks for reusing and recycling!
