During a press conference in Louisiana, an obnoxious (surprise!)member of the news media tried to pull a fast one on LTG Honore, who had just the right answer for him.

Go F*ck yourself "goarmy2003", cause your not a soldier, your a mercenary. I spent 15 years in the Army before George W. Bush politicized it, so I know how it works. Everyone thought I was dumb to get out 5 years before I could have retired, but I don't regret my decision at all. I have a nice job now and I don't have to compromise my integrity anymore to do it.

So I'm definitely not a mercenary. I'm sorry to learn that you had a personal problem with our previous Commander in Chief, and that it caused you to cut short your military career. I trust that you are feeling better now. It is too bad that you did not think you could maintain your integrity while a Soldier.

LTG Honore (Hon-oray) is my former Commanding General and I can tell you from a personal experience about working for him. He was one man you don't want to piss off. For that matter, you didn't have to piss him off, he would tell you straight up how it is, the way it is, and the way it should be done. He would call you every single name in the book, except your own name, if he seen something that was not right. Very straight and forward and to the point.

I, usually am not impressed by the army, although I, too as a marine know that, a marine in a press conference would usually give a politically correct tactful and courteous statement, from a professional standpoint but.... with that said, I salute that army general. He cuts to the chase and moves on, dealing with a problem the way we actually operate in general.
