yeah i like starling a lot too, all the small birds are worth having if you tie north country or clyde style spiders. Snipe is one od my favourites

Starling is awesome for midge or trico soft hackles. they also make great wings for wets. And the powder is usually borax soap. Its great for absorbing moisture AND repelling bugs.
