great video,as someone who has trained with some of the people in this video,i can tell you it is a practial martial art that would be good in a real fight,it teaches proper defence and offence and control of kicks and punches with real use of power, people say boards do not hit back, but to break boards bricks and tiles you need good focus power and speed, and this style has been proven against other styles in international compertion by one of the duan grades in this video.
Bruce lee used to break boards all the time havent you seen him do it watch it on his demos you cant diss shaolin you name one person who can break iron bars across there head they train for 7 hours a day there the most power full kung fu masters in the world and as a tang sou dao member its a chinese art great vid
and technically this is a Korean off shoot of Kung Fu, etc so....that's that...
And yes I would say that it's prolly a bad idea to perform the Dancing Dragon when you see some body on the street trying to kill you...but if you condense and understand what each strike in that form teaches you, it can become lethal....(another Chinese Martial art reference)... NOW I am done on the subject...b/c this is a Korean vid lawlz xD
in response to those dissing Chinese martial arts...yeah there is the showy aspect to it which i agree is a little ridiculous, but the styles of Chinese Martial Arts tend to use forms so that it becomes second nature and effective in combat..confusing your opponent with a hit to the right then going left beside the bicep and up the face is VERY effective and tricky to do...and every Martial art has at least some aspect of showiness to it..because lets face it...it looks cool and works.
Nice video! I think alot of people misunderstand or are misinformed what breaking is about. Its there as a platform to build confidence, you have to believe that you are going to break that brick else no matter how strong you are it will never break. You have to overcome your fear of injury and self doubt, this sort of mental training can help in many aspects of life. Therefore is this really such a bad thing? Try to remember not everything in martial arts is about hurting people.

To all saying that it is Korean: I can tell you, as a Practitioner of Tang Sou Dao myself, that it is, as title suggests, Chinese!
It has a Korean tradition in Tang soo do.
