Actually, many of us DO care about those Memorial Cups, because we remember watching them. I'm too young to remember 1983, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching that 1998 team hoist the cup. I guess I can't expect you to understand how petty you look trying to downplay it though, being that you've never gotten to experience the excitement of a Memorial Cup run yourself. And whatever your source is on Seattle dominating at least half of the rivalry, hockeydb.com disagrees.

@nsh03 no one gives a shit about 10-15 year old memorial cups. Actually Seattle has dominated at least half of the rivalry. Remember when Portland was worst in the league 3 years in a row? You don't seem to. Yeah, the wimperhawks are better this year than the t-birds, but that will change. Just watch.

I commend you on your blind loyalty and Guiness Book of World Records level of homerism, but you're still wrong. Except about the draft picks part, I'll give you that. We way overpaid in that deal, and it will most likely come back to haunt us. Unfortunately for you, we're better than you this year, just like we generally have been throughout the history of the rivalry; and frankly, you sound bitter about it. How badly do you hate those Memorial Cup banners in our rafters?

@nsh03 And as far as us losing, first off we still pulled off a 6-3 win against Portland at home this year. Secondly we are a team still recovering from a terrible coach and some of our players have been with him since their career started so they still playing the way they were taught. And lastly, once we get our chemistry going we will be a great team, and Portland will have no 1st rd draft picks for a looooong time.

@nsh03 so how many Seattle fans have you encountered? not enough hawks fans for you to socialize with? I have heard the Portland announcers say many times that he wants to be the "tough guy and the physical player" of the team. What about Josh Hanson Sept 24 pushing Doty and then Doty pushing him back and Hanson not dropping his gloves? At least Honey dropped his gloves like a man against a fool much bigger than him. Like I said, go back to watching your little pussy diving team.

Seriously? You're as dumb as any Seattle fan I've ever encountered, and that's saying something. A guy with one career fight is a "tough guy" to you? Okay... And maybe if Honey didn't want to fight, he shouldn't have A: Take a shot at Eviston, and B: Had his gloves off first. This is a truly pathetic effort on your part to find a silver lining to getting slapped around by the Hawks in your own house yet again in the one area in which it truly counts: on the scoreboard.

@nsh03 no, Eviston is one of the wimperhawks "tough guys". And Eviston was the one talking and yelling at Honey to drop his gloves. I was there. And just because Honey pushed him, doesn't mean he wants to fight him. And wimperhawk fans are the ones that can't look at what actually happened and generally they idiots. And your team is full of diving punks, that can't take hits.

I know it's asking a lot that a Seattle fan look at what actually happened, but go back and re-watch the clip. Whose pushed who after the face-off, and who dropped his gloves first? Your boy Honey was the aggressor here, picking a fight with "big tough guy" Eviston who had exactly one fighting major in his WHL career before that. This was nothing more than two non-fighters mutually engaging and taking a couple wild swings at eachother before falling to the ice.
