This movie was much better. The story was a lttle lacking, but I thought Ray and the other actors were perfect in this movie. The action was hardcore.

@1993MovieMan if you listen in the begining he talks about how after he killed the saints he continues where he left off. The russian comming back is from the comics when some person uses s.h.i.e.l.d. tech to make him robot like and when frank is talking to that dude in the bar with the sun glasses he says that john saint survived and that he is jigsaw so all those connections are sequal enough.

@vegetatheprince123 Actually , The Video Game was An Original Storyline based on The Comics with A Script written by Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti ! The ONLY Connections to The 2004 Film were Thomas Jane starring , Frank living next to Joan and Spacker Dave ( Bumpo , A Key Character in The Film IS NEVER mentioned in The Game ) , Frank fighting The Russian in his Apartment , Carlo Duka ( Mickey`s Uncle ) appearing , The Saints being mentioned and John Saint becoming Jigsaw !

I prefer the 2004 Punisher movie. I mean come on, The Russian is probably one of the best villains in the whole series and it totally made the movie a lot better.

@scvila what is the punisher, a brutal no compromis vigilanty punishing the wicked without mercy. ray did that perfectly. thomas's movie had a better storyline i think. to bad they cant add the two and make simply one hard core kickass movie
