geeez.....the song is supposed to be a very sad one...I don´t think it fits very well singing it so happily
-
@oneloveatatime It's not Aretha's song, It's Paul McCartney's song

cool to see aretha backing herself up on piano. even though covers don't have to have the same feel as the original, i wouldn't call this a cover. there are only traces of the melody, chord structure and lyrics. it's more like a nod to the song than a cover of it. not a bad thing, but it does simplify a beautiful melody. on the other hand, it's dance music here. aretha is aretha, which can't be duplicated. I would have been dancing like a fool if i was there.

Too happy for my taste, but interesting cover by a legend.

@oneloveatatime You're so right.
-
@oneloveatatime you do know this song was written by mccartney and played by the beatles, right?

@mikey012345 Been trying to, but some guy kept splitting hairs. I think this song is great, regardless of how different it is or not from the original. She is amazing.

@SweetZombiJesus sometimes you can just over rationalize things, step back, relax and enjoy.

It's not really a cover per se, as it changes the feel of the song entirely. Still, a great use of the original lyrics; evidence of her creativity.
