NATO looking into civilian casualties in Libya

Rescue efforts are underway after NATO allegedly mistakenly bombed a civilian area in Libya, leaving nine dead and 18 injured. Allen Pizzey reports.

@elgorre First, Qaddafi is a fanatic who won't decide peace even if a gun is at his head. And killing assasins is worth for only a few people getting killed. Second, NATO is not aiming all the time to kill civillians. In fact, it is rare for them to kill civilians with the knowledge they are there. Be glad they learned from WW2 and aren't carpet bombing entire neighborhoods to blow up a single compound.

@reddenbawker If i asked you for permision to blow up a building full of assasins, but there were also kids in the building, would you give me permission?? Do you think that killing innocent civilians (children) is outweight by the fact that some assasins will die too? That is completly unfair to those children. We don't have the authority to decide who lives and who dies. People got to understand that. We shouldn't even aim to kill at assasins, we as good people should always look for peace.

@reddenbawker Also, you know that according to international law regarding armed conflics, NATO not only shouldn't have interfired in libya. But also if they did they shouldn't be using bombs! The international law is pretty clear, you cant use weapons that dont distinguish between combatants and civilians. This means no bombs, cus colateral damage is unnacceptable in a humanitarian crusade. You cant help people by killing more people.

@reddenbawker I don't support gaddafi in any way. As a matter of fact, i hate the guy. But the thing is, the thing is that killings would have stopped months ago if NATO wasn't involved. The "Rebel" Leaders aren't real rebels, they are puppets. Puppets that will whore libyas ass (Oil, Gas, Gold, etc) to foreign countrys. Also do you really believe that NATO is there to be humanitarian? No, they are in libya because that way they can spend money on weapons and most of that money goes to pockets.
