  • Wanted to update an earlier comment about the chords:

    A13 / / A7#5 - D9 / / / - A13 / / Bb13(slide up to) - A13 / A7#5 /

    D9 / / / - G13 / / / - A13 / / Ab13 - G13 / F#13b9 /

    B-9 / / / - Bb13 / / / - A13 / C13 / - B13#5b9 / Bb13 / - A13

There are also accents on certain chords to give the vamp greater harmonic dynamics however it's hard to document this here. I'd like to thank George Fortunato for transcribing these chords.

  • @loopdawgg Yeah, that's the secret to excellent note choice and impeccable phrasing... a '61 Strat. Go back to the woodshed and quite whining.

  • Sounds remarkably similar to one of the examples from the Danny Gatton Hot Licks DVD !

  • @loopdawgg No, it doesn't.

  • @DrJeffers

that is good info, very insightful, thanks!

  • @loopdawgg I seriously doubt it! It helps him, it wouldn't help us one jot - its small tolerances in tone/response versus a mighty big talent gap... the cliche is true - guys like this usually play top-flight gear, because they are good enough to squeeze every last drop of juice out of their tools, and at that level, every % matters. But its the converse just isn't true - great gear doesn't buy you great playing. Without the latter, the former counts for nothing. Its just not the secret weapon.

  • @mikaltch Nope, not really. I got one, and a lot of other stuff too. It doesn't make me play/sound anything like this guy can (that's ok, i'm not trying to. But i absolutely couldn't come close if i ever did). Gear is not the secret... but you know that really. ;)

  • @stratking69er This is so far off the mark i just feel bad for you dude.
