@ChristopherBix2 Having also performed live many times over the years, I can also attest that there's a tendency to speed up songs. Most songs are performed faster live than the recorded versions. It's often simply a crowd dynamic thing; when the crowd's rocking, the band (especially guitarists, it seems) is happy to accommodate. Legend has it Big Brother and the Holding Company used to actually race one another to the ends of songs :)

This is my grandads favourite squeeze song. Can't listen to it without thinking of him dancing like crazy!

@ChristopherBix2 I love the fast tempo. It's fun and kinda reminds me of an amateur band that I know.

My theory for the insane rushed tempo? Tilbrook started the song at a very fast tempo, the drummer was obviously struggling with it. It was too fast for him to get any sort of normal accents or fills in and so he had to kind of mash his way through it. Being a former drummer myself, I know that this really pisses you off. So the drummer may have copped the attitude of, "Oh, so you want to go fast, do you? and took off as fast as he could possibly go, trying to return the favor,
It doesn't get ANY better than this.
