Barry Switzer speaking before his statue unveiling on November 5, 2011.

At the 9:50 mark he references the "modern" era of college football, after WWII. The athletes had been playing service ball and needed to have someone who had been in service ball, thus began Bud Wilkinson's era.

Switzer also discusses various era's of the University of Oklahoma's football history and how his career came to be and the part it plays in the overall program.

Switzer acknowledged that his career would never have existed without all the great coaches and players.
