Hey Angus, glad it helped. I do OK on chord progressions but solos are a real big challenge for me, I worked on the solo for this song for about three weeks and still my timing is a little off in a couple of spots. I've played acoustics for almost 40 years now and just recently purchased a strat so my one of my short terms goals is to learn some of Gilmore's solos. His solos may not be fast but to me they are beautiful and take me on a journey. (without the use of drugs :) ) continued.....

@northwi60 40 years!! you must really know your stuff, i enjoy to play the solo to this song andi agree that gilmour's solo's are just something else, i do find that live improvisations are far better than the orginal recorded solo's! Some say that he is overated because he uses alot of improvisation, but i say get to f*"k, he is the only man on earth who can improvise like he does!

Nice job, one of my favorite Floyd songs. The correct chord progression of the chorus is Am - F - Am - Bb add4 etc. (1st finger barres 1 thru 5 strings 1st fret, 3rd finger 4th string 3rd fret, and 4th finger 3rd string 3rd fret or you can try it ala Gilmour, he plays the same chord using the baseball grip style - using his thumb on the A string, most guitarist including myself can't make that stretch.) hope this helps. Good luck.
