  • "...once it damages the joint its self, then its a more costly repair..." Not necessarily true, just buy a new drive axle and pop it in. I got new drive axles for my Toyota for $75 Each. I love how car service people blow the cost of a repair to the moon when its not that hard or expensive to do it yourself. Went for inspection, $50 to replace a $3 exhaust gasket, did the job myself in less than 10 minutes and passed the inspection.

  • the problem is the rubber they use these days is crap and it starts cracking in no time they just don't make things like they used to.

  • Preserve your CV axle boots with SILICONE GREASE - not silicone sealant! - Silicone grease keeps rubber soft an pliable and prevents deterioration and cracks which open up the boot and make the joint fail.

  • @MrAdjones85 about 5 billion dollars

  • HOW THE F... IS "SHOWING THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR", TURNED INTO JUST ONE PART, AND ALL IN ONLY 55 SECONDS???? THERE IS A THING CALLED QUALITY AND YOU DON'T HAVE IT!

  • the whole axle is under $100 and its not hard to replace your self. just need alittle mech know how

  • What do I do if I'm leaking differential fluid out of the back of the drum where the axle connects to it, on the rear passenger side of my 93 ford f250. I have no shop grade jack and stands. How much would this cost at a shop plus my truck pops underneath when im in reverse and give it gas. Would this be the u joint, or the suspension bushings???? ANYONE????????
