This was so disappointing. Harlingen had an amazing season this past year. I think we had close to the same amount of talent, but Westlake was better in every other aspect of the game. They were better coached, better disciplined, and kept their mouths shut. After we beat San Antonio Southwest, our players kept saying stupid things like "We're comin to take over." or crap like that. That was our problem, we thought that we had already won a state championship.

I see your point, but that wasn't the problem. The DL and LB stuffed the run game. The real problem was our secondary. I highly doubt AW had 500 yards of offense. Try a high two hundred or a low three hundred.
BTW: Harlingen High = Team as well. Thing is, the better TEAM won.

If you get 4 sacks but give up 500yds of offense? That's not very good. It means you're Dline is stunting without adhering to gap responsibility. Too many Me's don't make team. Austin Westlake = Team

6+ turnovers doesn't help. AW was the better team. On a side note: HRL recorded 4 sacks against an AW team that only allowed 8 all season long.
