@BrutusMalfoutus No, plenty of thrash songs in the 80s had breakdowns, plenty of death metal bands in the 90s had break downs. What you call 'Scene kid' is a recent trend. I dont carry around a little ass back pack, have hair covering half my face or do 2 step. "Slam Death Metal" is such a stupid term and a fail ass attempt at making a new subgenre.

It's okay to use the term "breakdown" you know. Different types of music can possess similar traits. It's okay, seriously. It doesn't make much sense to call it a slam instead of a breakdown when they're the exact same thing, just because it's a DM band doing it. It's okay to say breakdown, seriously.
