The mega-low budget 20-minute short that launched the Sci-Fi Channel in Europe in 1998, starring Doug Bradley and Eileen Daly. Featuring monster designs by Yasushi Nirasawa, this sickly combination of live-action, stop-motion and paupers' CG was created by Alan Grant of 2000AD fame and Tony Luke, the creator of the first ever manga to be done by British men and published in Kodansha Comic Afternnon. Read more about this oddity here: http://forgottenjunk2.webs.com/archangelthunderbird.htm

The end credits song was performed by Billie Godfrey, very early on in her career, she would later go on to provide a voice in Renga's second production, Dominator.

  • I dig the monster designs, well I commend the producer of the film for convincing the japanese designer to work for them.

  • Yasushi Nirasawa has done a lot of good stuff, re-designed a character for a film these guys later made, and was meant to do more in the remake of it, but the was pretty much canceled. Nirasawa has done lots of Devilman stuff.

  • To be honest, I really like it! \m/

  • Thanks, there's pretty much nowhere else on the web that has anything on this. You might be able to find the artwork of the monsters in some of Yasushi Nirasawa's artbooks, he does some great designs.

  • Cool, I'll upload it shortly for you to download, I might put a video up of the two tracks anyway, it obviously won't get many hits but it's cool when stuff like this is made a bit more known.

  • The end song is called Millenium Revelation by Billie Godfrey, though it's not really listed anywhere else on the net because it's so obscure. I believe that is the full length of the song, I can give you an MP3 of it, and the only other piece of music I have from this thing. There was a music video for Millenium Revelation, but it's damn near impossible to find.

  • "Somehow", nice, haha. That's good to hear though, it has a strange charm about it.

  • Someone liked it? Haha, that I didn't expect, cool to hear, I would have preferred to have seen this with a much bigger budget.

  • Wow. This rocked my world.

I'm getting a real Guyver vibe from it.
