  • [Furqan 25:61] Most Auspicious is He Who created lofty towers in the sky and placed a lamp in it, and the luminous moon.

  • The meaning of luminous: "full of or shedding light, or shining in the dark". does is say that it has its own light?

  • kijk zo duidelijk takbir ALLAH AKBAR ALLAH AKBAR ALLAH AKBAR

  • Well dutchesqueen, Whats your point ?can you also explain all the other wonders of the quran? Just except it , what this man is telling is nothing but the trued

  • Great going brother Jarmen, good points..keep it up!!

  • I never said that the translation if the word of God, the translation is the work of men. they can make mistakes. I can also give you plenty of errors made by translators of the Quran. And arabic word has many meanings, if a translator uses one, he/she can be wrong.

  • First, you argued about the light of the moon and saying it has its own light and now, you want the Quran to also say specifically it burrows its light from the sun. Sorry sister to tell you that your arabic is weak by not knowing what noor/monier really means.

  • My apologies Sister, it was not on purpose. I suppose you know arabic, if you read the arabic volume of the commentary of the well known Ibno Kathier, you would read the following about the moon in verse 61 of For9aan: "mochri9an moniran binorin akhar". that to say this in another word, it means burrowd light or reflected light. seconf of all, did you know that translation can be wrong, the language of the Quran is perfect, so why do you need a translation if you already have the original lang.
