I thought that Dr.Paul Bearer was on TV in the 1970's!!!

I had no idea that I could find old clips of Dr. Paul Bearer on YouTube. I grew up in the Tampa Bay area in the 1960s and 70s and before Creature Feature there was channel 13's Shock Theater on Friday nights. To this day I still joke with my siblings (in the Bearer voice), "WTOG, as far as the eye can see!" As Dr. Bearer used to do while holding a fake eyeball.

It was.I lived there in 71-75.I was on his show as a kid.He was on Friday nite,Saturday at twelve and Saturday nite.

I grew up with Dr. Paul Bearer as a kid in the 80's. In fact it was a weekly ritual for my entire family to sit around the T.V. on Sunday afternoons and watch horror movies. And I remember a LOT of the movies he showed on there back in the days..."Rats: night Of Terror", "Shockwaves", "Night Of The Living Dead", etc.....lot's of the, what was at the time, obscure Italian gore flicks and also all the classic 80's horror flicks like "The Blob" re-make and such.

Every region had there own 'scary guy' show showing classic horror movies. For me is was Dr Shock in Philly. Fun stuff from days long gone.

Came on after kung fu with David Caradine at 12 or 1 pm iirc I was 10 in 85 hehe

I miss the 80's and his horrible old movies..first time I saw Planet of the Apes and Godzilla was on Creature Feature.

I came to this because I watch this show on the weekend that Elvira hosts. I read in Wikipedia that her show was originally fright night before she came on. I thought it was just a movie. Do you know if this played on Wwor or wpvi, new york and philly respectively. Thanks for your upload and obvious respect for the 80's, you are not alone:)
