Michail Gorbatsjov on the 13th of december of 2003 giving his opening speech at the Groninger Museum in the city of Groningen in The Netherlands. Theme of the art exhibition: 'The Russian Landscape' or 'Het Russisch Landschap". To his left is the translator. To his right is Kees van Twist, the director of the Groninger Museum. Gorbatsjov mainly talks about the landscape he grew up in, which was dominated by snow and rain.
