I can answer that question Izzy...DLR closed the 1st ever show on this tour. They flipped a coin on Sterns radio show. The first show of the tour was in Cleveland, cause I was there! My gf at the time worked for the local newspaper there...it was an outside place..don't remember the name of it. I remember a few things from the show..Dave looked pretty weird, but he did put on a great show, as did Sammy..I just thought Sammy was more into ripping EVH. Dave did his best..I left entertained..

This video is actually from the show I was at.  Got to say I left that night saying Dave was better with his overall thanks to the crowd, his set list containing all VH songs and desire he gave singing it. Sammy left me feeling it was more about the tequila and the VH songs he played were the mainstream one's packed with to much solo stuff. I'm a huge fan of VH and they are better with DLR but let's not be nieve here, Sammy can outsing Dave any day of the week. Dave DID NOT blow Sam away!!
